FAQ - Speaker Submissions

If you have a question that is not answered below, please email congress@emhicglobal.com

.

Session times vary but most fit into one of three categories:

  1. Standard Presentation - 15 minute presentation, plus 5 minute solo Q&A
  2. Lightning Presentation - 5 minute presentation, plus 15 minute group Q&A
  3. Discussion Panel - 5 minute speech (no slides), plus a facilitated panel Q&A

You will be notified which category you have been allocated into when you receive notification of acceptance (or decline).

No. This is not an academic conference. We simply need to know what you wish to speak about. The review process is not double-blind, so we encourage you to mention services, products, and organization names - as this background will help our review panel assess the relevance of your submission to the Congress audience.

Yes you can. It is useful for us to have multiple track options, in case your first choice is unavailable. On the submission form, you will be asked to select ONE track as your primary choice, then multiple tracks as alternatives.

Speaker time slots are in high demand, so submitting late will reduce the likelihood your submission will be accepted. However, if there is a reason you need a time extension, please email congress@emhicglobal.com and we will consider it.

Yes. We are willing to consider submissions where you are showcasing a commercial product. We have some presentation time slots set aside for this purpose.

However there are several conditions you need to keep in mind:

  1. Your submission topic will be assessed for merit by our review team and we cannot guarantee acceptance.
  2. Straight sales pitches are less likely to be accepted. We encourage you to consider presenting a case study on how a client deployed your product and what results were achieved, rather than proposing a product sales pitch. It can also be useful having a client co-present with you, if possible.
  3. If your submission topic is acceptable to the review panel, product vendors will be required to purchase a sponsorship as a condition of acceptance. Refer to the many options in our prospectus. Options start from as low as CAD $2,900.

Yes, we do have some time slot set aside for virtual-only speakers, if you are unable to attend in person. There is a question in the submission form about this. If accepted, you would be able to purchase a lower cost virtual registration, rather than an in person registration. If you have additional questions about this option, please email us at congress@emhicglobal.com

We do not provide speaker honorariums or cover travel costs.

We can assist by providing a letter confirming your speaker submission status and/or acceptance. However, the visa application process is the speaker's responsibility.

Yes, any submission up to 16 May will be reviewed. If you have missed the first wave deadline, it will be reviewed after the second wave closes.
