PRESENTATION FORMAT

• Presentations must be prepared using Microsoft Office PowerPoint (PPT) compatible with the Windows operating system.
  • If you have created your presentation using Apple Keynote, you will need to save your file as a PowerPoint file
  • You can not bring your own laptop and plug it into the venue's AV system. 
  • Prezi is an executable file and will not be compatible with the presentation management system
  • You can not bring a USB stick into the room and plug it into the AV system. All presentations are centrally managed by the AV team.
• All presentations should be created and designed in 16x9 screen aspect ratio (wider image display). This will ensure your presentation uses the whole screen. It is not possible to convert the standard 4x3 aspect ratio presentation to 16x9 onsite.
• After you upload it, we request you bring your presentation on a USB as backup.
• Accepted video formats are MP4 (1080p). Other formats may require conversion of the tech team and should be checked in advance with the Encore team in the speaker-ready room (Pier 6). It is best to bring the video as a separate file on your USB in case the embedding into your presentation did not work. AV technicians can check this for you in the speaker ready room.
• Live demos or videos - over an internet connection on stage - are not allowed, unless this has been booked in advance.

• If you wish to make last-minute changes to your presentation, please see the Encore team in the speaker-ready room (Pier 6) after you arrive at the venue.

ON STAGE

In the room, you will have:

• a lectern and lectern microphone
• a presentation clicker
• a countdown timer will be visible in PowerPoint when in Presenter View mode
• Lapel microphones are not available except in plenary sessions. If you wish to move around on stage, you will have the option to use a handheld microphone.
• Panels will share handheld microphones.
