David Segal is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Human-Nature Counselling Society (HNCS), a nationally recognized charitable organization based in Victoria, BC. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he has focused on making mental health care accessible and culturally responsive for underserved and equity-deserving communities.

Under his leadership, HNCS has developed scalable nature-based therapy approaches that integrate ecological awareness and connection to nature, demonstrating adaptability across diverse communities. He has advanced research and practitioner training in nature-based therapy, promoting evidence-informed practices that enhance engagement, foster resilience, and support both individual and planetary wellbeing.
