Methods: • The MIRA project utilizes quantitative and qualitative methods to gather community input and enhance the chatbot. • MIRA's development is guided by a collaborative design platform and interdisciplinary team, including individuals with lived experience and Indigenous community members, to ensure cultural sensitivity and appropriateness. • The MIRA Resource Library is a quality-controlled database where resources are subject to peer review and continuous monitoring. • MIRA's AI training data is quality-controlled to avoid perpetuating harmful biases. Results: • The partnership with ConnexOntario will bring the MIRA interface to assist Connex users, enhancing their access to mental health support. • MIRA users will gain access to ConnexOntario's database of 6000 mental health and addiction resources in Ontario. • Will help external users navigate the ConnexOntario MHA directory more effectively. • MIRA's potential to transform mental healthcare access and delivery in Canada is strengthened through this collaboration. • The project aligns with Alberta Innovates' goal to advance digital health technologies and improve the quality and sustainability of the healthcare system. • MIRA aims to provide timely, trusted, and quality mental health information, support mental health service providers, and improve health outcomes for Canadians.
