Dr Christopher Cheok is the Chief and senior consultant with the Department of Forensic Psychiatry, Institute of Mental Health. He is also the Director of the National Mindline 1771. He was formerly the Clinical Director of the National Addictions Management Service and Head of Psychological Medicine Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He is a visiting consultant to the Singapore Armed Forces and a member of the medical board of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. During his career with the Singapore Armed Forces, Dr Christopher Cheok has been the Commanding Officer of Medical Classification Centre, the Deputy Commander of the Military Medicine Institute and the Head of the Psychological Care Centre. He has served in peacekeeping missions in East Timor and in humanitarian relief mission during the Asian Tsunami. He has published 3 books on mental health and 20 research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
