Based at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, the largest mental health teaching hospital in Canada, the INTREPID Lab is a leading hub for tobacco addiction and vaping treatment, research, and education. Our mission is to help create a future where no one dies from cigarette smoking.
Drawing on over 15 years of research and real-world implementation, we developed the STOP Program, a comprehensive, technology-enabled solution that makes smoking cessation treatment accessible, scalable, and economically sustainable. Through our secure STOP Portal, patients and providers can easily enroll, access care remotely, and benefit from automated clinical algorithms, real-time data insights, and personalized, evidence-based treatment recommendations.
Our team supports partners through program design, implementation, and evaluation, alongside provider education and training to build capacity in tobacco cessation treatment. We also facilitate quit-smoking medication procurement and fulfillment for an end-to-end solution (this feature is currently available in Canada).
To date, the STOP Program has reached and treated over 450,000 individuals. We invite partnerships with healthcare systems, payers, and technology providers to transforming your tobacco and nicotine addiction treatment capabilities.
