Aleena Walji is a Commercialization Project Manager at the Bloorview Research Institute, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, where she leads initiatives that bridge research and practice to create meaningful impact for clinicians, educators, and families.

The Commercialization team works closely with researchers, clinicians, industry partners, entrepreneurs, and funding agencies to advance transformative innovations for sustainable impact. Their mission is to connect people and systems to ensure innovations reach those who need them most.

Aleena’s work focuses on translating innovative research into practical tools that improve care and outcomes for children and youth with disabilities. With a background in Kinesiology (BSc, Queen’s University) and Biomedical Engineering (MEng, University of Toronto), she brings an interdisciplinary lens to product development, commercialization, and health innovation. Aleena is passionate about building bridges between research, practice, and community to create meaningful impact for children, youth, and families.
