Alfredo leads a startup in the AI support space for Alzheimer's patients. He is interested in the application of sensors and machine learning in psychiatry and has led several projects to completion at BrainHack (Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics) and NeurotechX hackathons. His work spans sensing-instrumentation, neuromodulation, and behavior modeling using machine learning.

He was a contributing author to the paper, "Using deep learning to predict internalizing problems from brain structure in youth," which is forthcoming in Nature Translational Psychiatry.

Alfredo is an active member of the POND Study’s Participant Advisory Committee. POND is a large-scale, multi-site research program in Ontario that combines genetics, neuroimaging, physiology, and clinical data to understand the biology of neurodevelopmental conditions. It aims to identify shared mechanisms, refine diagnostic approaches, and support more targeted interventions.

Alfredo holds a degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
