Khondoker Raisa Samiha is a public health professional and international medical graduate from Bangladesh, currently based in Montreal. With a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the University of Alberta, she brings a unique blend of clinical experience and policy expertise to her role as a Content Development Specialist at Health Standards Organization.
Raisa’s early clinical work in Bangladesh sparked a deep commitment to improving health systems and working upstream to address gaps in care delivery. Her career has since focused on supporting national standard development projects, engaging diverse interest holders, and translating evidence into actionable strategies that enhance healthcare quality and equity. Her work is grounded in people-centred values, and she excels in project management, interest holder engagement, and policy analysis.
Outside of work, Raisa finds joy in cooking, spending time with family, and embracing the beauty of Fall - her favourite season. Her lived experience and global perspective continue to shape her passion for building inclusive, responsive, and high-performing health systems.
