Dr. Steven Locke is a primary care psychiatrist and digital health innovator. He was Founder and Chief Medical Officer of iHope Network, a telebehavioral health company acquired by Ginger.io (now Headspace Health) in 2021. He has long been a leader in integrating tele-delivered, evidence-based behavioral treatments into primary care, student health, and chronic disease management.

A former Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Locke founded and directed Enabling Technology Innovation in Healthcare and the Life Sciences in the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (1999–2015). Many of his students went on to establish and lead healthcare IT and digital health companies.

Dr. Locke is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and past president of the American Psychosomatic Society. He has served on multiple editorial boards and received the 2008 Stangler Prize for Innovation from the American Association for Technology in Psychiatry. He also chaired the Committee on Information Technology at the Massachusetts Medical Society, expanding telemedicine during the coronavirus pandemic.

He maintains a private psychiatry practice in Western Massachusetts, consults to start-ups in behavioral telehealth and digital mental health, and has been named a Boston Magazine Top Doctor annually since 2017.
