Deborah Wang is the Director of International Collaborations and Public Psychology Services at Wenzhou Kangning Hospital, affiliated with Wenzhou Medical University. She is also a research psychologist and adjunct professor at the School of Mental Health, Wenzhou Medical University.
With over 20 years of experience in education and public health in the U.S., Dr. Wang specializes in adolescent research. Since joining Wenzhou Kangning Hospital in 2018, she has pioneered digital innovations in mental health, securing two national patents for AI-based depression detection and a clinical decision support system.
In academia, Dr. Wang teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at Wenzhou Medical University and has published over 20 papers in child and adolescent mental health research over the past three years.
As Director of Public Psychology Services, she leads a team that provides comprehensive services to government agencies and over 100 schools while advancing international psychotherapeutic techniques in China. Dr. Wang is the first Mandarin-speaking member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and introduced the MINT-endorsed TNT to Mainland China, enabling Mandarin speakers worldwide to join the MINT community.
