Syed Mujataba Noorul Hussain is a Child Rights Practitioner and Public Health Lawyer specialising in Juvenile Justice and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).
For over a decade, he has been dedicated to advancing mental health advocacy, child protection, and juvenile justice, with a particular focus on Jammu and Kashmir. His work spans extensive community outreach programmes, capacity-building initiatives, and research publications in the fields of Juvenile Justice, MHPSS, and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE).
He has significant expertise in system strengthening across both governmental and civil society sectors, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the support they need. With a strong foundation in public health law, Syed Mujataba has also contributed to policy interventions and promoted sustainable practices that place the well-being of children at the forefront.
He also completed a doctoral thesis titled “Analytical Study of the Right to Life of Juveniles with Special Reference to Mental Health Rights.”
