Paul Hyman is an internationally recognised mental wellness consultant, known affectionately as “The Hymanizer.” With a compelling global mission, Paul shares his signature “13 Better Mental Health Skills for Rapid Relief” – practical strategies designed to bring calm and clarity before, during, and after a crisis. His work is grounded in creating “Something in the Immediate Moment of Nothingness,” offering individuals immediate pathways to hope and healing.
With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare sector, Paul has devoted his career to stopping the cycle of trauma, violence, and neglect towards children and women. He approaches this complex challenge as a unique and gigantic jigsaw puzzle – connecting the dots along a linear timeline to reveal deeper patterns and opportunities for systemic change.
Paul’s journey includes a decade as a therapist at Canada’s Centre for Addiction & Mental Health (CAMH), where he worked with clients navigating the long shadows of early childhood trauma and self-medication. He also broke new ground as the first male children’s facilitator at Canada’s first shelter for women and children affected by domestic violence. Here, he introduced F.U.N.N. (Functional, Unifying, Nurturing, and Necessary) skills, empowering children to become healing agents for their families.
For 17 years, Paul operated as PENG-911 – a confidential, strategic support service for high-profile individuals in need of expert crisis management. Known for his calm presence and capacity to “Manage Chaos in a Crisis,” Paul has become a trusted ally for those navigating high-stakes moments.
