Dr Alana Fisher holds dual appointments as Consumer Engagement Manager at MQ Health's MindSpot and as an Honorary Research Fellow at Macquarie University's eCentreClinic. Both MindSpot and the eCentreClinic are internationally recognised leaders in the development, evaluation, and delivery of world-class online psychological treatments for a wide range of mental and physical health conditions.

With over a decade of experience in qualitative, mixed-methods, and co-design research, Alana’s work is grounded in a strong commitment to person-centred, evidence-based digital mental healthcare. Her current research spans three key areas: improving the delivery of person-centred (digital) mental health care; deepening our understanding of how people make decisions about engaging with mental health services—whether digital or face-to-face; and meaningfully involving people with lived and living experience in the design and evaluation of mental health services and research.

Alana’s applied research has made a significant impact, directly informing national and international clinical management guidelines, health professional practice guides, and policy recommendations to government, bridging the gap between research, practice, and lived experience.
