Dr. Tracy Costigan is a clinical psychologist and seasoned nonprofit leader, with over 20 years experience establishing organizational functions in strategy, evaluation, learning, and storytelling to improve effectiveness and advance strategic objectives. As VP Impact Evaluation and Storytelling, Tracy leads the team in designing and delivering on Crisis Text Line’s quality impact framework and related metrics; knowledge and insights products; volunteer impact and skills assessment; and evolving the data storytelling strategy, all to optimize collaborations and resources aimed at influencing global mental health systems change.

Prior to joining Crisis Text Line, Tracy spent 10 years at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the largest US philanthropy devoted to achieving health and wellbeing for all. She was instrumental in shaping the organization’s approaches to strategy, learning, and measurement and led research and evaluation projects related to social and emotional development, mental health service access, community resilience, and gun violence prevention. Tracy has also contributed as a research, evaluation, and learning leader at the American Institutes for Research, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and SPSS (now a division of IBM), advancing knowledge and practice in mental health across the lifespan, training and skills assessment, and predictive modeling.
