Dr. Shay-Lee Bolton is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. A psychiatric epidemiologist, she is recognized for her expertise in the study of trauma, mental health, and suicidal behavior among at-risk populations. Born and raised in Manitoba, she is deeply committed to improving the well-being of her community.
Dr. Bolton has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and is highly regarded for her quantitative research expertise. Her work has been supported by numerous local, national, and international funding awards. She has also received several academic honors, including the prestigious CIHR Frederick Banting and Charles Best Doctoral Research Award.
As Co-Lead of the CBTm Hub, Dr. Bolton is helping to transform mental health service delivery in Manitoba through accessible, evidence-based programming. Her evaluations of virtual cognitive-behavioral therapy classes have been widely recognized for their impact and innovation, offering scalable solutions to meet growing mental health needs.
