Quinta Seon is a Ph.D. candidate in Mental Health at McGill University with a research focus on mental health equity and culturally sensitive interventions. Her dissertation examines a virtual reality-assisted cognitive behavioural therapy (VR-CBT) with Inuit in Quebec, aiming to address gaps in access and cultural safety for marginalized groups.

Quinta’s broader research explores digital health, equity and intersectionality, and community resilience. She has contributed as first author to peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as Nature Mental Health and The Lancet Regional Health – Americas. Her collaborative experience includes work with academic and community partners across Canada and the Caribbean.

She has received recognition through awards including the FRQS Doctoral Training Award. Quinta is also engaged in youth civic leadership, 2SLGBTQIA+ research, and grassroots activism in Montreal. She is committed to advancing equitable, evidence-based mental health care for underserved communities.
