Pauline Penney completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Alberta in 2006. Raised in rural NL, she returned to her home province in 2011. She is currently a Program and Policy Development Specialist with the Government of NL, Mental Health & Addictions Division of Health and Community Services, with a special focus on life promotion and suicide prevention initiatives.
She is a very passionate about perinatal mental health and has extensive knowledge and nursing leadership experience in Women’s Health, where she utilized a family-centered, inclusive, and holistic approach to providing care and creating supportive environments to individuals on their family building journey, from pre-conception to the early post-partum period while working in the specialty areas of obstetrical and fertility nursing. Pauline is committed to supporting equitable access to evidence-based programs and services within a stepped care model approach that meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan.
