Brittany Howell is the Provincial E-Mental Health Manager with the Mental Health and Addictions Division, Department of Health and Community Services, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL). Her portfolio focuses on e-mental health programming and initiatives, stepped care, and prevention and promotion. She holds a Master's of Science degree and has over seven years of experience focused on mental health, substance use, and addictions in research, evaluation, policy, health promotion, and knowledge exchange roles.
Brittany oversees strategic e-mental health initiatives in Newfoundland and Labrador and most recently helped lead the launch of the Newfoundland and Labrador Mental Health and Addictions App Library in partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) and the Organisation for the Review of Care and Health Apps (ORCHA), ensuring that apps promoted in NL are safe, evidence-based, and equitable. Her work bridges research, policy, innovation, and practice to improve access to safe and quality mental health, substance use, and addiction supports across Newfoundland and Labrador.
