Drew Bowman is a Mental Health Education Specialist with Headwater Learning Foundation (HLF), where she leads initiatives that strengthen mental health literacy and promote social-emotional learning (SEL) across Alberta schools. With over a decade of experience in health promotion and an extensive background in school mental health and health geography, she collaborates with educators, school divisions, and community stakeholders to co-develop professional learning, resource toolkits, and evidence-informed programming that support student and staff wellbeing. Her work at HLF focuses on building capacity within education systems through accessible, inclusive, and research-driven approaches aimed at fostering mentally healthy school environments. Drew’s previous roles include Children’s Health Researcher at Western University, Health Promotion Officer at St. Clair Catholic District School Board, and Healthcare Coordinator at a medical company in Alberta.
