Luke has a depth of experience in leisure and environment, as well as an enduring commitment to sport psychology which has led him to pursue health coaching. His passion for exploring the world evolved to the journey within, with research that is advancing acceptance of mental and physical health being considered together in health care. For Australia’s sporting champions this meant peeling back the layers and exploring issues that for many years had been hidden behind a wall of hero-ship. His novel findings on life changes, transitions, and retirement are helping to frame the experiences of this group with regards to stress, maladjustment, and resilience. He also has an interest in innovative technologies for accessible, effective, and high-quality mental health care. There are various ways to aid others with their wellness plan through the early intervention and self-management of risk factors. Luke’s focus on holistic health is about instilling confidence, positivity, skills, motivation, and support to take the actions that we know would improve our health. His role is to untangle the sea of health information and determine what works for clients, assist them towards solutions and instil accountability for sustainable behaviour change. Luke’s goal is to partner others from being stuck, overcome barriers, and move towards their own version of optimal health. Luke’s hope for clients is that they are empowered and supported to realise their strengths and talents and build on them as well as achieve goals with nutrition, lifestyle, and movement.
