Priyadharshany Sandanapitchai (she/her) is a registered psychologist and a Clinical Psychology PhD candidate specializing in trauma and PTSD interventions. She also serves as the topic coordinator for a graduate diploma course at Flinders University. Her doctoral research evaluates a novel guided self-help Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT-GSH) program designed to treat PTSD in adults. By integrating a stepped-care model, her work seeks to tailor interventions based on individuals' specific needs and levels of severity, ensuring more personalized and efficient care. This study is the first to assess the effectiveness of stepped-care CPT-GSH and to examine the practical aspects of delivering this innovative treatment. Through her research, Priyadharshany is committed to improving access to evidence-based trauma treatments and enhancing mental health outcomes for people living with PTSD in broader community settings.
