Nicola is Deputy Director in the Centre for Mental Health, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health at the University of Melbourne. She is also the Research Director of SANE Australia’s Anne Deveson Research Collaborative. Her research focuses on population monitoring and interventions to improve population mental health, mental health literacy, and reduce stigma and discrimination.

Nicola has had leadership roles in major research projects, has over 250 publications and is an Expertscape World Expert in health literacy (top 0.1%).
