Judy Kuriansky, Ph.D., is an internationally-known clinical psychologist, author, mental health advocate, humanitarian, philanthropist, author, and award-winning journalist. For 20+ years she has been an adjunct Professor of Psychology at Teachers College Columbia University, including teaching the course on “Psychology and the United Nations,” and a representative at the United Nations of NGOs (the International Association of Applied Psychology and World Council for Psychotherapy), also currently an advisor for the Mission of Sierra Leone to the UN. Her many professional journal articles and books are about international issues (disaster recovery, epidemics, migration, Middle East peacebuilding, the Intersection of psychology and environmental protection) and the new “Resilient Health: Leveraging technology and social innovations for COVID-19 recovery and beyond”, as well as on interpersonal healthy relationships. At the UN, she was instrumental in the inclusion of mental health and wellbeing in the UN 2030 Agenda, the Global Digital Compact and other policies. She has organized innumerable events and conferences for the UN Commissions and been a first responder for disasters worldwide (e.g., Japan, China, Haiti, Iran). A  journalist and media personality, and investor in Broadway, she has been a TV reporter and radio talk show advice host well-known for her wise advice.
