Ishaa Vinod Chopra is the author of ‘Finding Order in Disorder’, a memoir exploring her journey with bipolar disorder, domestic abuse and art therapy. She shares therapeutic coping strategies through Dance, Art, Yoga, and ‘Mad Poetry.’ She integrates multidisciplinary arts into her healing and advocacy.
She holds a BFA in Performing Arts (Kathak), an Honours Diploma & Degree in Early Childhood Education from George Brown College, Toronto. Her work has been published in AECEO’s eceLINK journal, inspired by her mentor, Dr. Adam W.J. Davies. As a Research Associate of a York Master’s Thesis documentary project titled ‘Unfinished,’ she explores her journey in mental health vis-à-vis multidisciplinary arts. As a Workman Arts Member Artist, she has facilitated dance therapy combining Latin, Indian Classical, and Folk styles and presented dance performances for the City of Toronto.
Founder of Finding Order in Disorder NGO, her projects include hybrid podcasts, therapeutic dance and community engagement for mental well-being. The NGO constantly seeks advocates and people with lived experiences through digital storytelling. Ishaa is currently pursuing a Thesis for a Master of Science in Critical Family & Kinship Studies with an Interdisciplinary Program in Gender, Sexualities and Bodies at the University of Guelph, Canada.
