Despite a surge in digital mental health innovation, many services remain trapped in fragmented systems and outdated infrastructure. Mental health professionals - especially in community, NGO, and primary care settings - still face disconnected patient data, duplicated assessments, and inefficient workflows due to legacy software and incompatible platforms. Propagator is a new kind of AI-assisted integration platform designed to solve this challenge. Purpose-built for healthcare, Propagator enables secure, real-time data exchange between disparate systems - EHRs, care coordination tools, telehealth platforms, scheduling software, and more - without requiring those systems to be replaced. Using machine learning to automate schema mapping and connector generation, Propagator dramatically reduces the cost and complexity of digital integration. It wraps legacy systems with secure, modern APIs (including FHIR-based ones), automates workflow orchestration, and includes telemetry for real-time monitoring and self-healing. All data is processed transiently, meeting the highest standards for security and compliance, including HIPAA and GDPR. In this presentation, we’ll explore how this technology is already transforming mental health care: Integrating mental health and primary care systems to reduce intake duplication and improve referrals Creating live data flows between telehealth services and patient records for continuity of care Automating outcome reporting and compliance tracking for funders and PHOs Connecting digital tools into a unified ecosystem that supports person-centred care Propagator is actively deployed across Australia and New Zealand, powering integrations with platforms across Primary Care, Secondary care, and a range of specialist and community systems. It’s being used by health technology vendors, virtual care providers, and integrators to accelerate digital enablement without adding maintenance overhead or security risk. Attendees will walk away with: A practical understanding of how AI is being applied to modernise health data interoperability Real-world examples of how Propagator helps mental health services scale digital operations Insight into building secure, intelligent integration workflows across legacy and modern platforms A replicable model for enabling innovation in resource-constrained or compliance-heavy environments As the mental health sector adopts increasingly diverse digital tools, the risk of fragmentation grows. Propagator addresses this with an intelligent, scalable platform that brings systems together - so organisations can innovate faster, clinicians can work smarter, and patients can experience seamless, connected care.
